About My Clients
My clients are often people who feel things deeply. I work with college students, women, and couples who have been impacted by trauma and are seeking to understand themselves on a deeper level. My approach works well with diagnoses or symptoms of Bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder and Complex Trauma. Additionally, I work well with high-conflict couples.
My Background and Approach
The therapy room is a unique place where we can show up as our authentic selves, without fear of being 'too much'. As a therapist, I show up as my genuine self, with humor, compassion, and gentle directness. My therapeutic approach integrates change and skills-based approaches with deeper emotional processing and reflection, grounded in attachment theory. With high-conflict couples and couples impacted by breaches of trust, I take a dual accountability and growth-oriented approach, focusing on lasting change. In working together, you can expect an active and collaborative therapeutic relationship that centers your needs. I practice utilizing attachment theory, Dialetical Behavior Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and the Gottman method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation Ukrainian-American, I understand that there are systems in place that make it difficult to seek help. These systems can be cultural, social, societal, or even personal. It is important to me to create a space that acknowledges the impact and reality of these symptoms, and the identities that we are navigating them with.
