About My Clients
Our clients have recently lost a loved one, been diagnosed with a medical illness, are living with a long-term illness, going through a major life transition, or are facing the end of their lives. They often feel like they don’t know where to turn and they deserve a safe place to navigate the massive changes they have experienced. They frequently say that they feel like they have to have it “all together” and don't want to be a "downer."
My Background and Approach
DLA is composed of a talented team of Chicago psychologists and social workers who specialize in grief, loss, illness, and all of the complexities that come with these life changes. Despite what you are going through, this is not who you are. You can still become the person you want to be and do what you love to do, and it’s our greatest honor to help our clients see this, embrace it, and live it out. We approach therapy without prescribed agendas, because we know your journey is unique to you. We prioritize diversity, honoring the intersection of each person’s unique backgrounds and identities and what that means for them.
