About My Clients
My clients tend to be in a time of transition. The two most common reasons clients see me out are money frustrations (not loving their relationship with money and feeling stressed about it) and help thriving with ADHD (working on healthy relationships, work challenges and more).
My Background and Approach
I earned an MSW as a nontraditional student after a career in law and while maintaining an ongoing real estate business. I returned to school because I love learning and because I believe in the value of evidence-informed therapy. Most of my work has been centered around recovery from past trauma, skill building, financial therapy, and thriving with neurodiversity. My clients tend to be professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, and helpers. My training includes work with a variety of modalities: * Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) * Trauma-Informed Care * Financial Therapy * Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) * Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) * Motivational Interviewing * Narrative Therapy * Post-Traumatic Growth Orientation
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core values are love of learning, appreciation of beauty, living with gratitude and service to my community. Causes nearest and dearest to me are support to limit and address immigration trauma, senior dog rescue and protection of Texas' wild waterways and lands. I have parented a foster son and now delight in actively grandparenting my son's children.
