About My Clients
My current focus includes supporting clients struggling with stress, post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, shame, and moral injury. I have special interest in serving injured athletes and women in peri- and post-menopause. I am deeply committed to anti-oppressive practices that focus on the health and dignity of my clients.
My Background and Approach
I use EMDR to help individuals organize, express, and process distressing memories and experiences. EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based psychotherapy. It's particularly recognized for its success in treating trauma and PTSD, but its application extends to anxiety and other challenging life events. I also often incorporate CBT into my work. We'll focus on understanding what brings you to therapy and collaboratively decide on the most effective path forward. CBT helps us examine how your thoughts influence your emotions and overall experience. In our sessions, I'll guide you in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, empowering you to create positive shifts in well-being. My role is to help you uncover your strengths, while you navigate challenges and create meaningful change from a place of self-discovery and empowerment. Together, we'll build on what's already working and shift what isn't.
