About My Clients

Have you tried therapy before and felt disconnected, like you never really felt understood? It can be a struggle to find a therapist that you feel connected to, let alone safe with. Everyone has their own way of working with clients, but all the acronyms and types of therapy get confusing and don't really mean anything to you. You just want to be heard, to be seen, to feel like the person you're sharing your deepest self with ACTUALLY gets it - actually gets you. I understand this struggle.

My Background and Approach

That's why I focus my therapy practice on the relational model. This model asserts that true change is created not by techniques and interventions, but through the relationship created between therapist and client. The therapeutic relationship has been proven time and time again to be one of the greatest agents of change within therapy. Our relationships are key to understanding our behaviors, patterns, beliefs about ourselves and others, and they are all rooted with in the attachments we create when we are young. Through the therapeutic relationship, you can gain clarity and awareness of why you are who you are, and then how you can begin to grow and heal. This isn't just talk therapy - this is a continuous, collaborative, experiential space that we create together, which can have profound impact on how you see yourself and how you shape your world. I use this lens and IFS (internal family systems) to help clients find more balance and self-acceptance - no matter the struggle.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person has the innate ability to heal, grow, and find balance - as long as the external environment is safe and supportive. I recognize that this is not possible for everyone, so we incorporate safety, support, and understanding of external constraints. I see my role as a co-collaborator in the therapy room and always include you in the process for treatment, goals, and progress. Every client is unique and deserves access to a personalized approach to therapy. I strive to show up authentically as myself with each one of you. I am an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, racial justice, and sex workers. All are welcome and provided a safe space. Together, we can process the trauma or grief that has been pushed aside, help navigate through this rough life transition, or find compassion for yourself that has so often been difficult to access. If you're ready for deep transformation and a supportive environment - reach out and schedule the free 20min consultation.
