About My Clients
Maybe you experience anxiety or worry, or perhaps you realized you can achieve more or want better for your life - whatever it is, I am here to help. I specialize in working with adolescents/teenagers, young adults and women who are seeking self discovery, joy, and want to be the best version of themselves. I work with those who may be experiencing symptoms of sadness, depression, anxiety, life stress, interpersonal or relationship struggles, and lack of confidence or direction in their life.
My Background and Approach
I've worked with a variety of people from ages 8 though 65, including folks from various communities, cultures, and backgrounds. I've utilized therapy extensively with young adults and teens, including those struggling with many mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression, to trauma, and even psychosis. The tools I'll teach you to use have been highly effect with my clients over the years, and you can easily learn and use them too. I work together with my clients to set achievable goals, and keep us on the path of empowerment and self improvement. This is a safe space for those in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those from all ethnicities and walks of life. You are welcome here!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in you. No matter who you are, how you identify, where you come from or what you look like - I believe in you, and I'm here to help you believe in you too. I am an active member of my local LGBTQIA+ community, I support the Black Lives Matter movement and have participated in fundraisers, protests, and events in and around San Diego County in support of these communities. As a therapist, I believe in empowering and lifting up those who have been overlooked and oppressed, abused or manipulated. As far as what values are important to me... well, the biggest one is authenticity. I value your truth, your genuine emotions and the honest thoughts going through your mind. I also value dedication and commitment to self improvement, especially in the face of challenging emotions and traumatic experiences. I value the strength that it takes to pursue change and begin counseling, and I respect that in all of my clients.
