About My Clients

When emotions overwhelm us, we tend to gravitate towards harmful urges or compulsive behaviors. I enjoy working with clients to create more acceptance and mindfulness with their emotions, and my goal is always to empower you to cope more effectively. I specialize in helping adults and young adults navigate life transitions and sudden events that trigger painful emotions. I truly believe that therapy can offer the space for healing to occur.

My Background and Approach

I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space, where we work together to develop a treatment path that emphasizes your individual strengths and values. As a therapist, I draw from a wide array of practice and training to tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Additionally, I often draw from mindfulness and breath work during therapy to cultivate self-awareness and grounding. I know that emotions can feel overwhelming and lead us to feel helpless. I work with and empower clients to cope effectively with their emotions and emotional urges by facilitating self-awareness and providing skills. I am dually licensed and have experience treating anxiety, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, and substances use disorders. Please note-I am an out of network provider.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I truly believe that therapy provides the space to navigate solutions to help us step into the best versions of ourselves. It’s frustrating and helpless to feel overwhelmed by our emotions, and I fully believe that balance and confidence in coping with our emotions is possible. I was diagnosed with anxiety at a young age; it was confusing and hard, and there were times where I felt completely overwhelmed. Engaging in therapy was so important in helping me find the balance and coping I was seeking. I am an avid practitioner of mindfulness and have witnessed how beneficial this practice is in increasing self-awareness. I value compassion, authenticity, and open-mindedness, and believe that we feel the most confident and empowered when we’re living in line with the values we find the most important. It’s important to feel seen and connected in therapy, and I understand that the process of finding a therapist and can be difficult. I offer a free consultation call prior to scheduling.
