About My Clients
If you feel depressed, overwhelmed, anxious or are experiencing relationship conflict, I can help. The truth is that life can be challenging and when this happens, we often get stuck in patterns of thinking or behaving that lead to suffering and pain. Let me be your guide out of this painful place. Bringing mindfulness and self compassion to the judgmental, negative thoughts can help you gain clarity of mind, make healthier choices and reconnect with the joy in life.
My Background and Approach
The approach I take to therapy has evolved over time and incorporates the best practices of Mindfulness and Compassion based approaches towards healing and creating a balanced joyful life. My goal in sessions, is to help you connect with the inner resources of self compassion and mindfulness which lead to a greater sense of ease and inner peace. Our sessions include inner contemplative exercises, guided meditations as well as learning healing ways to regulate your emotions both in the sessions and in your daily life. Practicing these skills, can lead to a feeling of inner confidence and the ability to navigate challenges in a more grounded and peaceful way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have within us the power to heal. As a therapist and in my personal life, I have explored the practices of mindfulness and self compassion and have found them to be deeply healing and trans-formative. I strongly believe that we can be a healing presence for ourselves and each other. This is both a personal and professional belief that informs my practice as a therapist, and a Certified Mindfulness Teacher. It is what I share in private practice and when facilitating Mindfulness Residential or Gentle Yoga Retreats. It is when we are at peace with ourselves that we have peace in the world.
