Trained in Psychodynamic therapy, my goal is to help understand how the past influences the present. I believe in the power of insight oriented therapy and understanding our internal experiences helps us to be better able to address what is getting in our way.

I enjoy working with couples in better understanding themselves as individuals as well as a couple, how they each bring their own background and family upbringing to their relationship. I help couples establish goals and the steps to achieve those goals. This may include healing from broken trust, improving communication and conflict resolution skills, establishing expectations, and more.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is being proven as a highly effective modality in helping clients that have experienced trauma or negative life experiences. EMDR employs a body-based technique called bilateral simulation during which I will guide a client through through eye movements, tones, or taps in order to move a memory that has been incorrectly stored to a more functional part of the brain.
