About My Clients
I work with adults and working professionals navigating anxiety, depression, career stress, adult ADHD, and major life transitions. Many of my clients look like they're holding it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed underneath — high performers who've never had space to admit they're struggling. Others are simply at a crossroads: a career shift, a relationship change, a season that feels harder than it should. My goal is to help you build a skill set you can actually use daily.
My Background and Approach
I've been a therapist for over a decade, opening my own practice in Fort Collins in 2018. My primary approach blends Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing — I'm not here to tell you what to do, but to help you get clear on what you actually want and work through what's been in the way of it. I also draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed approaches depending on what's most useful for you. Every treatment plan is form-fit to the person in front of me — I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all template. My goal in every session is to help you build practical, evidence-based skills you can apply outside of therapy, so the progress we make together keeps compounding long after our work is done.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core belief is simple: my job is to work myself out of a job. Therapy is meant to be as brief and empowering as possible — I want you to leave with a skill set that carries you through the other six days, twenty-three hours of your week, not just the hour we spend together. I also believe therapy should always be non-judgmental. Most people I work with are already their own harshest critic, and I never want to add to that. Finally, I believe healing doesn't require constant heaviness — there's room for humor and levity even in hard work, and I try to hold both with every client. I see my role as walking shoulder-to-shoulder with you, not leading from above, as we figure out the path between where you are and where you want to be.
