About My Clients
Trauma is, by definition, an experience that overwhelms our ability to cope. In the aftermath, people often struggle with depression, anxiety, dissociation, relationship issues, grief, and substance abuse. Our area of focus includes working with survivors of sexual violence (assault, child sexual abuse, and incest), intimate partner violence, adult survivors of child abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, neglect), family of origin trauma, and intergenerational trauma.
My Background and Approach
We are a collective of independent clinicians with a shared mission to provide accessible, empowering, and culturally responsive care to trauma survivors from a feminist-relational & anti-oppressive perspective. We work with clients to restore a sense of wellness and wholeness within their lives. También ofreciendo servicios en español. We recognize the impact that trauma has on our nervous systems and ability to manage the chaos of life. At times, ways of coping can become issues in the present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We hold the belief that healing is a political act and self-care is an act of self-preservation. It's our honor to hear your story and support you along the way. "If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together." – A group of Aboriginal Rights Activists; Queensland, Australia
