About My Clients
I see adult individuals and specialize in long-term treatment of personality disorders and mood disorders. I especially enjoy working with schizoid personality structures. While I use a psychodynamic approach, therapy is individually tailored to each client; thus, I may use techniques from other modalities to focus on clients’ needs. At each client’s discretion, I find the integration of culture and spirituality into the therapy process to be enjoyable and helpful in the journey toward health.
My Background and Approach
In my youth, I knew I wanted to be a psychologist. As such, I find great meaning in the work I do and consider it a calling. Specifically, I find walking alongside others through their journey toward health to be most rewarding. My approach to treatment is client-centered and collaborative, as I believe it is most beneficial for the client to take the lead in their own journey. Therefore, treatment is tailored to each client’s individual needs. I received my Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Regent University and my B.S. in Clinical Psychology from Liberty University. My clinical experience includes conducting therapy and assessment in a variety of settings such as private practice, community health center, day hospital, and inpatient units. I have worked with a variety of diagnoses and presenting problems, including mood disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, psychosis, and relationship concerns.
