About My Clients
Worried that your therapist is going to give you a blank stare as soon as you start talking about your sex life? Want more than just a nod and a "hmmm" from your therapist? Let's do this. I am passionate about providing non-pathologizing care for queer, nonmonogamous, kinky, individuals, couples, and families. Together we will work through your growing pains and old stories and make an action plan that translates from session to real life.
My Background and Approach
I work in an all online format so that coming to therapy isn't one more thing to add to your busy schedule. This also enables me to work with people that want to work with me from all across the state. I began in the helping profession as a life coach. The coaching modality I learned left a strong legacy on the way I work- I'm always looking to help clients translate session work to real life. I currently work with my sex therapy and couples therapy background to "call in" people's bad relational behaviors- from withdrawing to yelling, to letting NRE run the show.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Despite coming from a privileged background with an accepting and liberal family, I have had my share of struggles with my identities. I needed to find therapists or helping professionals that understood where I was coming from, and they sometimes felt few and far between. I saw the need for therapists like me when I was a client and I'm honored to be doing the work of being the kind of therapist my clients need me to be.
