About My Clients

Tired of just existing? I enjoy working with clients that are interested in living their best lives and willing to work as partners to set goals that will help make that happen. You do not have to have all the answers right away. We will get there. Sometimes the thought of going to therapy can be daunting, and I applaud anyone that has the courage to choose themselves. Prepare to be openminded and challenged and have an authentic, nonjudgmental partner in this journey.

My Background and Approach

The tools that I will use to assist you are ones that I have been perfecting working with people just like you, I am person-centered and solution-focused. I personalize techniques specifically for you because you are unique. I have had an extensive amount of work with persons of color, the LGBT+ population, and persons experiencing medical conditions. I am a firm believer that when you are not feeling great in your body, it affects your mental health. If you are having difficulty emotionally or mentally, it affects your physical health. I take a holistic approach to help you control both. I have also done extensive work with those affected by trauma and survivor support. The goal is the increase your quality of life and gain resiliency, strength, and self love.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I identify with #sayhername and the #BlackandBrownLivesMatter movements. I am an active advocate for Women, Survivor, LGBTQ+ rights and causes. I own a Social Justice Theater Company in the Milwaukee area. I am a volunteer in the arts community and believe that they can be used to promote and aid in healing. I am aware that the effects of racism can cause mental health issues. I also am aware that in Black and Brown communities that we are used to messages of "What happens at home stays at home," and the stigma about mental health. It is imperative that we look at mental health as we do our physical health. We need checkups, goals, and plans to be the best that we can be. Counselors are here for YOU to provide a nonbiased, supportive and nonjudgmental space where we can collaborate and set goals for ultimate health.
