Everyone needs a hand sometimes, or should I say an ear, right? Whether you feel stuck, unheard, down, or confused in life, I am there to help you navigate through life and help you become your best self. I understand that life is heavy sometimes and no one should have to go through it alone. I look forward to helping you through your journey!
My Background and Approach
I am all about what the client needs. My main approach is evidence based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). However, I will also use a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approach to help see where the issues came from (e.g., childhood, past traumas, etc). I want to know what you feel, why you feel it, and help you redirect the feelings into more positive schemas. I have found success in clients working through life transitions, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, communication, relationship concerns, and difficulties in expressing and/or managing emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that in order to get past something, we must get through it. Understanding our problems begin with being able to see them and look accept them. Clients often believe that they are flawed but the traits you carry might be essential to who you are. It is my job to help you strengthen traits while also assessing the changes desired. We don't always get rid of who you are, but instead, we focus on learning how to control your traits and dominating the negativities associated with them. It is when you truly accept yourself, flaws and all, that you can truly begin to heal and strive for a better version of yourself.
