About My Clients
I work with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, and mood challenges. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent folks exhausted from masking in a world not built for them, or parents seeking thoughtful care for their child.
My Background and Approach
My foundation in acute inpatient psychiatry taught me the value of calming stability and grounded presence. As a board-certified PMHNP-BC and founder of Nexus Psychiatric Services, I bring that steady foundation to statewide telehealth. The name Nexus represents a connection point where lived experience, biology, and values meet. I approach care through an open, trauma-informed lens, treating medication as a collaborative tool to stabilize your biological baseline. Medication is rarely the sole answer, but it can provide the footing needed for deeper growth. Our visits integrate precise prescribing with evidence-based therapy, including CBT, executive function strategies, and supportive processing. Whether supporting adults or engaging youth (6+) as respected equals, treatment is practical, conversational, and transparent, aiming to help you build actionable tools in a safe environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mental health care must be grounded in human dignity, bodily autonomy, and secular ethics. Healing requires a space where you can drop the mask and be completely yourself without fear of judgment. I reject pathologizing models that frame neurodivergence as an inherent deficit. Differences in brain wiring are natural variations of human diversity. Much of the distress neurodivergent individuals face stems from navigating systems not built for them and the chronic exhaustion of masking. My goal is to help you understand your nervous system, build self-compassion, and develop systems that honor how you process the world. I am dedicated to providing safe, affirming care for LGBTQ+, transgender, and social-expansive communities. I recognize that mental health cannot be separated from societal realities; stress and fatigue are often rational responses to systemic barriers. True care honors your whole identity and fosters authentic self-determination.
