Many people are hesitant to seek mental health treatment. Even more are anxious about considering medication. You have a million questions, concerns and fears. And that's completely normal. You might be surprised to learn my role is so much more than handing out a prescription. We drive deeper into understanding the whole picture. We work together to get a clean diagnosis to guide treatment moving toward. During our time together we will explore those situations, stressors, and external factors impacting your quality of life. Only after we've gained a clear picture, will we be able to put a name to what you've been feeling and discuss treatment options. And yes, some of those options include medication (this is my area of expertise after all). But we will also cover other treatment approaches, strategies and coping skills. My goal is to ensure you are fully informed so you can make decisions about your health.

Are we a good fit? While we don't have to be in perfect alignment in our values and beliefs to have a fantastic relationship, it's ideal if we share a few. I value honesty, transparency, respect, autonomy, and empathy. I've found clients often make faster progress in treatment when we not only share these values, but practice them. I deeply value our relationship and appreciate our ability to have open, frank conversations. We will all face challenging, painful, or even traumatic events in our lives. No one should have to face these moments alone. Everyone has the right to have compassionate experts and a strong support system as you take steps towards mental wellness. Who do I work with?
