What is your story? Everyone has a story to tell. Some of us are very happy to share our story while some need time to develop the coping skills towards having the courage to face their story. Narrative therapy is a kind, nonjudgemental way to slowly share your story while showing compassion and empathy towards yourself. Narrative therapy can be very healing to clients who know where they are, yet ask "how did I get here?"

What thoughts do you have about yourself? others? life in general? CBT can help identify those quick thoughts and ruminations that contribute to anxiety, depression, stress and other unpleasant emotions. With CBT, I will respectfully listen, reflect your thoughts and even validate your right to have them, yet gently challenge those thoughts which keep you in an uncomfortable place so you can reframe with healthy cognitions towards experiencing more tolerable, less intense emotions.

Sometimes in life, we have to accept reality we can not change...even thoughts that do not go away. With ACT, I will teach you how to "coexists" with unpleasant situations, thoughts, chronic pain...life that we do not like. Accepting, instead of fighting, reality is the first step towards inner peace. I will teach you various techniques including thought diffusion and other ways to coexist, yet "diffuse", from the thoughts, emotion and physical pain, situation, so that you learn to live with.

If we could take a magic wand and make things different, I beat most of us would opt to do that. However, life isn't so simple and we have to learn to life with reality we can not change. I respectfully listen to your struggles and teach you how to SUCCESSFULLY coexist with these unchangeable realities so you can find inner peace and move forward to living a life reflective of your values, interests and goals.

I have over 20 years experience, as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, serving clients with substance use disorders and Cooccurring Disorders (substance use and mental health). I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction and others including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Stress Management techniques.
