About My Clients
If you are looking for a counselor with a calling to help others find their own path on a healing journey of a happy and healthy life, has excellent active listening skills and experience with trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, and is open to all cultures, ethnicities, and beliefs, then I hope you will call me. There also may be times when you will need to advocate for yourself and learn how to set personal boundaries in order to reach your best self.
My Background and Approach
I have experience with Basic EMDR, SOMATIC therapy, animal therapy, CBT, and a person-centered approach. In a very popular women's trauma group I have co-managed, I have gained significant tools and exercises to educate others in PTSD, or with anxiety or depression. As a counselor, it is my duty and privilege to aid my clients in growing and experience healing. My client is the boss. Your journey is uniquely and personally yours. I am open and willing to help with whatever services are needed in order for you to reach your goals, to find healing, and to achieve maximum growth, including a women's trauma group.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Although I personally identify as Christian, I am open to anyone's beliefs and faith, or lack thereof. Everyone is unique and has their own personal journey. I truly am open-minded and non-judgemental. My passion is helping women and men overcome traumatic experiences, especially those that have suffered from childhood sexual abuse. I also love animals and have a dog that I am currently training to be a therapy dog. He loves everyone unconditionally, which is what I wish humans could do as well, and with which I strive to provide... unconditional positive regard!
