About My Clients
Many of my clients are used to functioning under pressure. They may look capable on the outside while dealing with anxiety, trauma, burnout, relationship problems, or experiences that continue to affect them long after the event itself. I work with teens 15+, adults, and couples, including first responders, military members, veterans, and professionals in demanding roles. I also work with people who simply know that something in their life or relationships needs to change.
My Background and Approach
My work is shaped by both clinical training and more than 30 years of experience in first response, emergency management, and high-stress leadership. I understand what it is like to function well on the outside while carrying stress, trauma, responsibility, or experiences that are harder to set down. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training in trauma treatment and neuropsychotherapy. Depending on the client and the goals of treatment, I may use EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT, DBT informed therapy, Gottman Method work, and other trauma informed approaches. My style is direct, collaborative, and practical. I want clients to understand what is happening, why certain patterns continue, and what can actually be done differently. Therapy is not built around a single technique. The approach should fit the person, the problem, and what they are trying to change.
