About My Clients
My clients are often people who are exhausted by their health, their responsibilities, or simply the weight of daily life. Many are managing chronic illness and longing to feel like themselves again, frustrated by how much energy goes into just getting through the day. Others are mothers and caregivers who have poured so much into the people around them that they've lost sight of who they are outside of that role. What they share is a desire to stop going through the motions and start feeling.
My Background and Approach
I have always been drawn to understanding the deeper layers of human experience. Growing up in a non-traditional family, I became curious about the ways people think, feel, and relate to one another. Known for my natural ability to connect through meaningful conversation, I followed this passion into the field of mental health. My clinical experience is rooted in community mental health, where I have worked extensively with individuals navigating substance use and severe mental illness. My background includes acute and inpatient care, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and shaped by a strong belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship.
