About My Clients

Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change. You might feel trapped in a frustrating relationship, struggling with compulsive behaviors like porn use, or wondering why you keep repeating the same mistakes. Often there’s shame, confusion, or a sense that life isn’t turning out the way you had hoped. If you’re ready to understand what’s really going on beneath these patterns and begin creating real change, therapy with me can help.

My Background and Approach

I approach therapy thoughtfully and collaboratively, tailoring our work to you. I draw from existential, interpersonal, attachment-based, and acceptance-based approaches to help you understand the patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting that shape your life. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I focus on building a good working relationship where we can openly explore what is happening. Together, we examine the beliefs, habits, and emotional reactions that keep you stuck. Many concerns, such as compulsive behaviors, relationship difficulties, anxiety, or feeling off course, grow from patterns that once made sense but no longer serve you. By slowing down and understanding these patterns, we can begin to loosen their grip. My background in philosophy also allows us, when helpful, to explore deeper questions about meaning, values, and the kind of life you want to live. Therapy can offer both relief and a path toward greater authenticity and direction.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy works best when it is grounded in respect, curiosity, and honesty. My role is not to judge you or tell you how to live your life but to help you understand yourself more clearly and discover what truly matters to you. People often come to therapy feeling ashamed of their struggles or frustrated with themselves for repeating the same patterns. I don’t see these struggles as signs of weakness or failure. They are often understandable responses to difficult experiences, unmet needs, or beliefs we have absorbed over time. When examined with patience and compassion, they can become opportunities for growth. I also believe that meaningful change comes from greater self-knowledge. When you understand your feelings, motivations, and patterns more clearly, you gain the freedom to respond differently. My goal is to help you develop that understanding so you can live with more intention, integrity, and connection to what you value most.
