About My Clients
Do you ever feel anxious about being anxious? Or stuck in the same pattern over and over again? Or even a little hopeless and frustrated at yourself in the midst of it all? It can be really overwhelming and you deserve the support that you're seeking with it. I hope to create a safe space for us to process, understand and collaborate together to move you forward in life.
My Background and Approach
In my experience working in many different counseling contexts, I have come to believe in the healing of a safe space with unconditional listening. This foundation is important as we build on understanding, awareness and insight about the patterns we discover in our processing together. I also hope that you are able to carry this awareness with you outside of our sessions to alleviate the pressure you put on yourself and gain empowerment with understanding and acceptance. We will then collaborate to find tools that are specific to your patterns so that you are equipped to manage your symptoms and create new patterns toward your goals. With the right support, education and compassion, I believe you will find some relief and empowerment in our work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the patterns you've developed up until this point have helped you survive this far, and that is to be respected and honored. I also recognize that these patterns may also be limiting you from where you want to go in the future or just might not fit who you are now. That is also okay. I know what it is like to live in that tension and it can be exhausting. I also know that it can be a lot easier when you have the right support. My personal and educational background is in psychology integration work, which supports my approach in helping deconstruct beliefs and/or incorporating truths and traditions into practice. I am trained to hold that tension with you... and maybe laugh together a little along the way.
