About My Clients
As a woman, do you find yourself struggling to maintain a balance between fulfilling spiritual, cultural, familial and societal obligations? Do you feel like you have lost your sense of identity while juggling such obligations? Secretly battling and wounded, many women find themselves to be depressed, anxious, angry, disappointed and unfulfilled.
My Background and Approach
I attended Texas Christian University where she received a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and then proceeded to the University of Texas at Arlington where she received a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Public Administration. I have extensive experience in the following therapeutic interventions: CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Client-Centered, Electric, and Psychodynamic. I enjoy working with those that suffer from a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, adjustment/transition stage, identity crisis/formation, dysfunctional family dynamics, PTSD, and Borderline Personality Disorders. Furthermore, as a Nigerian born American, I pride myself with working cultural concerns and spiritual trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a person of color, I became a therapist simply because there are not enough of us (black therapists) to assist in the healing of trauma that often plague communities of color. I support Black Lives Matter not because such lives deserve more attention but simply because such lives are often subpar. Furthermore, as a woman, I support equality for all.
