About My Clients

The primary focus of my practice is individual and couples counseling for adults. I specialize in treating anxiety and unresolved trauma for survivors of abuse, crime, assault, attachment trauma, and complex grief. My training is in evidence based practices for trauma work including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, PACT, EFT, and psychodynamic work. A secondary focus of my practice is working with unresolved anxiety and trauma and how that relates to attachment issues in relationships.

My Background and Approach

Seeking out therapy can be both a difficult and rewarding choice. Often clients come in with problems that are incredibly painful, stressful, and frightening. After working through their issues, clients are often surprised to find they have gained deep insight, compassion, joy, and wisdom for themselves and others. They often look back at their suffering and can view it as the "best problem of their life." I find turning difficult life circumstances into this best problem focus is the goal of therapy for many of my clients.
