About My Clients
I am committed to providing a safe space for all by delivering culturally responsive, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed care. My holistic and person-centered approach is rooted in evidence-based modalities to address the whole person. We will work together to create a plan that is as unique as you are. I specialize in working with and treating trauma survivors, those who want to develop their self-esteem and identity, and those needing support through relational conflict and communication.
My Background and Approach
My journey to becoming a therapist has been somewhat unconventional. I hold a Master's in Social Work and two post-secondary degrees in Education. I integrate psycho-education, cognitive and behavioral therapies, and parts work with somatic and expressive techniques. I am here to support you in whatever obstacles you’re dealing with by identifying your strengths and discovering the resources within you to overcome these challenges to achieve personal growth. My clinical experience includes working at Vanderbilt’s Children & Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital and with community-based nonprofits to care for people experiencing mental health challenges related to trauma and systemic inequities. I hold certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT, the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method, and Grief Informed Therapy. I am working towards certifications in Sex and Couples Informed Therapy, Clinical Trauma, ADHD-Clinical Services, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Compassion Fatigue.
