About My Clients
I have worked exclusively with folks with eating disorders and their co-occurring diagnoses for the last 6vyears, and I am passionate about helping folks feel liberated in their bodies and approach themselves with more compassion. I love working with adolescents as young as 10, teens and adults. If you are looking for support on how to challenge an eating disorder, or you are just looking to be kinder to yourself, I am here to help!
My Background and Approach
I am an LCSW, and although I have experience working in houseless/homeless services, and substance abuse, my primary clinical passion is eating disorders. I have experience working in PHP and IOP levels of care and utilize many of the modalities these treatment centers use with my clients. This includes DBT, EFFT, ACT, and more, all through a trauma-informed lens. I have helped many folks navigate appropriate levels of care for severe eating disorders and differentiate if mood and anxiety care is more prominent, or eating disorders. In outpatient care, I like to work with my clients as much as possible on normalizing eating behaviors, building self-compassion (which, ooof, we know how hard this one can be!), and making sure my clients have the best support team possible-- this could include an ED informed dietitian, doctor, or other specialists. You can be sure I will make sure you have what you need to be successful.
