About My Clients
We all experience painful and difficult emotions, in every stage of life – but we don’t have to go through them alone. I am passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma & had to learn ways of coping that were necessary for survival. I have experience working with those who have faced childhood abuse/neglect, domestic violence, and military trauma. I also enjoy working with those who are navigating life transitions, relationship issues, or grief/loss.
My Background and Approach
I offer a non-judgmental and compassionate space where we can unpack the complexities of your life and the emotions surrounding your current stressors. My priority is creating a safe, trusting space where you feel comfortable exploring the deepest parts of who you are. My approach is warm, honest, and empathic. I primarily use a humanistic and psychodynamic approach, based on the premise that you are the expert of your own life and that our work together will build on your innate strengths. We will also draw connections from your early life experiences to the patterns in your adult relationships, empowering you to make meaningful changes that honor your needs. I use a trauma-informed perspective with every client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing is a process of coming home to yourself and in becoming your most authentic self. This process begins with fully accepting who you are now & in making a commitment to change the patterns that have kept you stuck in the past. It takes courage to confront your life experiences in therapy & I am here to support you, understand you, and challenge you in that process.
