About My Clients
I work with adults, teens, couples, and families in South Tampa. Do you feel trapped? I teach my clients how to break the cycles of anxiety, depression, grief, panic, self-esteem issues, and stress. Do you want to feel more connected to your partner? I help couples build intimacy with each other and resolve conflict. Is your family struggling with parent and teen issues? My teens love me because I don’t come across as a stodgy authority figure.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my approach to your unique situation and personality to help you find purpose and meaning in life. Our thoughts can be our greatest strength when we learn to regulate them, and I will teach you how to let go of what you cannot control. As a former “perfectionist” and worrier myself, It was liberating to learn that worry served no useful purpose. I will give you the tools to control cognition and change your focus. If you feel panic in stressful situations, or face self-esteem issues that hold you back, cognitive therapy can help change the way you think (and silence that self-destructive voice in your head). Whether you struggle with personal issues, or are a couple wanting to increase communication and manage conflict, I am here to help.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know it takes courage to reach out to a stranger for help, but I won’t feel like a stranger after the first few minutes. I believe in unconditional positive regard, and in creating a warm, supportive environment in which you are welcomed, understood, and accepted.
