About My Clients
Life is a journey that we each take and sometimes we can become tired and overwhelmed. It can be the weight of going through each day completing basic tasks, or the weight of being a parent, a spouse, a child or a friend that becomes too much to handle by yourself. If you have been feeling this way, I would love to be that person to sit, listen, and be present with you. I look forward to helping you along your journey.
My Background and Approach
I have had the opportunity to work with individuals and families ranging in ages from a young child to the elderly. I adapt the interventions used in therapy to best fit what you are needing from our time together. I specialize in helping children and adolescents with special needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and different types of challenging behaviors that might come up at school or at home. I like to work with parents to help guide them and provide them with the resources needed to help their child.I also have experience helping clients through grief and loss, children and families working through expulsions from school, having involvement with the juvenile justice system, and trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to adapt and change when difficulties arise with the right tools and support. Everyone has a life story and that story has shaped them into who they are today. My own story has played a huge part in who I am and how I have chosen to live my life. My story helps guide me in the decisions I make daily. I think everyone needs to feel safe, seen, and heard. Once all three of those are accomplished, I believe that creates the perfect setting for a relationship to be formed.
