About My Clients
I enjoy and have experience working with a variety of issues and populations. I specialize in grief and trauma but have worked with eating disorders, survivors of abuse, LGBTQ+, domestic violence and sexual violence, depression, anxiety, relationship and interpersonal struggles, and life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I love what I do and I am grateful to be in this field. I'm the author of "Adding the E: Perspectives of Grief Through Recounts, Letters, and Poetry" and a 2019 TEDx speaker on the topic of finding resilience within grief. I believe that having these opportunities has allowed me to connect with others on a deeper level. I am here to listen, hold space, and process with you as you tell your story. I find it to be most rewarding working directly with my clients in a warm, comfortable, inviting, and non-judgmental environment- even through the computer screen! I like to provide a space that clients feel comfortable processing difficult emotions so they can leave the session feeling a greater sense of resilience, confidence, and happiness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that starting with a strength-based and relational approach and tailoring the sessions to your needs, is important for building rapport and trust in the session. Therapy is not, “one size fits all”, and I will meet you where you are in a supportive and flexible manner. I am a professional speaker and author and have immense gratitude for the work I do.
