About My Clients

You may already understand your patterns, but in the moment, something takes over. You keep the peace, hold back what you want to say, and later find yourself replaying the interaction. Many of the clients I work with grew up navigating different cultural environments, learning to read the room and adjust to maintain connection. Even when you recognize the pattern, it can still feel difficult to do anything differently in real time.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in working with relationship patterns shaped by culture and upbringing, particularly for men, second-generation adults, and those navigating multiple cultural contexts. Clients often come in struggling with communication, recurring conflict, breakups, or feeling stuck in familiar relationship dynamics. In our work, we slow these moments down so you can notice what’s happening in real time - the hesitation, the pull to hold back, the urge to keep things from escalating. As these patterns become more visible, you can begin to respond with greater clarity and intention rather than reacting automatically. Together, we explore how these patterns developed and how they continue to shape your relationships, creating space for meaningful and lasting change. Additionally, I have completed Part 1 of the EMDR Basic Training and incorporate EMDR techniques into my practice under clinical consultation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I see relational patterns as meaningful adaptations shaped by family, culture, and lived experience. The ways we learn to relate, including managing others’ emotions, avoiding conflict, or holding back, often develop in response to the environments we grow up in. I approach this work with curiosity and respect for the complexity of each person’s background, including cultural identity and intergenerational experiences. I do not separate relationship issues from cultural context. They are deeply connected. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, I value taking the time to understand what these patterns are doing for you and how they developed. From there, change tends to feel more grounded and sustainable.
