About My Clients

My clients are adults who have tried to think their way through something that lives deeper than thought. They carry trauma, grief, chronic stress, and relational wounds that talk therapy alone has not touched. Many have done significant work already and still feel stuck in their bodies. Some are men who have never had language for what they carry. Others are navigating life transitions that have shaken their sense of self. What they share is a readiness to go beneath the surface.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with nearly two decades of clinical experience and a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner candidate (SEP™) in my final year of advanced training through Somatic Experiencing® International. My clinical foundation is built on a simple conviction: most of what keeps people stuck lives below the level of thought, in the body and nervous system. My approach integrates Somatic Experiencing®, IFS-informed parts work, polyvagal theory, attachment science, and CBT. I work slowly and precisely, following the body's lead rather than pushing the story. Sessions are titrated, relational, and grounded in what your nervous system is actually ready for. I also provide LCSW clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers pursuing licensure in Colorado.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe the nervous system is not broken. It is doing exactly what it learned to do in order to survive. The symptoms that bring people to therapy, the anxiety, the shutdown, the relational patterns that keep repeating, are not character flaws or failures of willpower. They are adaptations that made sense once and have not yet had the conditions to update. Healing is not about forcing change. It is about restoring the conditions the nervous system needs to do what it is already designed to do. That requires safety, pacing, and a therapeutic relationship built on genuine attunement rather than technique alone. I also believe that insight without embodiment rarely holds. People can understand exactly why they do what they do and still find themselves doing it. Real change happens when the body's response begins to shift, not just the story about it. My role is not to fix anyone. It is to create enough safety and enough precision that the system can begin to move on its own.
