About My Clients
Do you ever feel like your child’s big feelings run the whole house—meltdowns out of nowhere, constant power struggles, or a daily knot in your stomach wondering, “Am I doing this right?” Maybe you’ve tried charts, consequences, “gentle” scripts, and Google at 2 a.m., and you’re still stuck in the same exhausting loop. I want you to know you’re not failing—and your child isn’t “too much.” When kids don’t yet have the skills to regulate, communicate, or feel safe, their behavior becomes the messa
My Background and Approach
Hi! I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland, and I’m passionate about helping kids, teens, and families feel more connected, understood, and supported. I believe behavior always tells a story and therapy works best when we slow down, get curious, and create a safe space where a child can be fully themselves. My approach is warm, strengths-based, and practical. I blend evidence-based strategies with creative, child-centered tools like play, games, art, and other expressive activities (including telehealth-friendly options when helpful). I focus on building emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and healthier relationship patterns so progress isn’t just something that happens in session, but something families can actually feel at home and at school. I also value the caregiver role deeply. I partner with parents and caregivers with clear communication, doable strategies, and shared goals—because support works best when everyone feels like they’re on t
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every child is doing the best they can with the skills they have—and when we teach new skills in a safe, engaging way, kids can grow in remarkable ways. I don’t see kids as “bad” or “dramatic.” I see big feelings and tough behaviors as communication: a child’s way of telling us what feels hard, scary, confusing, or overwhelming. Kids heal through connection. When a child feels truly understood, they become more willing to try new coping tools, practice flexibility, and build confidence. That’s why my work is warm, playful, and strengths-based. I use games, play, creativity, and kid-friendly conversations to help children name feelings, calm their bodies, and make sense of their inner world. Caregivers are essential to lasting change. I partner with families with clear communication and realistic strategies so progress carries into home and school. My goal is for kids to feel safe, capable, and proud of who they are—and for families to feel hopeful again.
