About My Clients
I work with adults and young adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. I help those struggling with anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lingering effects of past experiences. My clients often want to slow down, understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, and build greater stability, clarity, and ease in their daily lives.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience supporting individuals through anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, and life transitions. After many years as a school counselor, I began working as a therapist in 2023, bringing a focus on somatic (mind–body) therapy and Somatic Experiencing®, which helps clients regulate their nervous system and feel more grounded. I work with adults and young adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, helping them slow down, notice patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, and develop greater clarity, stability, and resilience. I also bring personal and professional insight into divorce and co-parenting, having experienced divorce and served as a mediator, which allows me to support clients navigating major life changes with empathy and practical guidance. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and trauma-informed, focused on creating safety and lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported. I value empathy, collaboration, and creating space for clients to explore their experiences at their own pace. I have experience working with the trans community and sex workers, and I spent years supporting youth as a school counselor, including running the MENS Club, a program that engaged male-identified students in discussions about healthy relationships, gender equity, and non-violence. I am passionate about social justice, mental health awareness, and promoting equity and inclusivity, and I strive to create a space where clients from all backgrounds—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or life experience—feel welcomed, understood, and empowered.
