About My Clients
My life's passion is helping young women and teenage girls find themselves and hone in on their innate power and strength. There are so many ways in which this society keeps women boxed up, stifled, small, etc. We grow up in environments that indoctrinate us into prescribed roles; mother, caretaker, giver, helper, and so on. I treat trauma and attachment injuries with IFS and EMDR; both are proven and researched methods of treatment.
My Background and Approach
It is my job to help my clients push back on the boundaries that keep them stuck as well as create and set boundaries that keep them safe. It is my job to help women find their voice and their essence. I achieve all of this by intrinsically weaving together EMDR and IFS through a trauma-focused lens. I specialize in helping women, teen girls, and female-bodied non-binary individuals of any culture or ethnicity. I excel at creating an atmosphere of safety and acceptance where you will feel truly seen, heard, and validated. I'm not JUST a therapist, I am an ally, and a person with whom you will connect. With my own personal experience of trauma and PTSD diagnosis, I understand exactly what you're going through. LGBTQIA+ and any race, ethnicity, or cultural background.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a mother, a dog lover, a survivor of childhood trauma, a former single mom, a blender of families, and a former teacher. I believe in vulnerability, truth, rawness, honesty, open mindedness, and swearing - a lot. I am here to help. I am here to walk with you on your journey; I believe that healing is possible for everyone. So thank you for being brave and for being here.
