I find that spirituality is interwoven into many of the issues that lead people to therapy, and I am open to working with clients of any spiritual or religious background. I specialize in Ecotherapy, which brings clients into closer contact with the natural world through outdoor therapy sessions, tapping into mindfulness, spirituality, and connection with the wider world. Perinatal women can be faced with a number of unique challenges, including depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, and other mental health concerns. On top of that, this time often requires adjusting to career, physical, partner relationship, and personal identity shifts. A mom of two young boys, I have experienced firsthand the joys and challenges of becoming a parent, and know how lonely and challenging this time can be. I have also completed Advanced Perinatal Mental Health training through PSI.

Many people find that utilizing Ecotherapy (nature-based therapy) as a stand-alone or alongside office-based therapy assists in discovering new avenues for self-discovery and healing. If you have ever felt a sense of peace, joy, or connection when outdoors, Ecotherapy may resonate with you. All Ecotherapy sessions are 90 minutes to allow for full immersion in the experience. I completed a Professional Certification in Clinical Ecotherapy through TerraSoma Institute in 2019.

Ecotherapy brings therapy outdoors! During Ecotherapy sessions, we may engage in mindfulness, sensory awareness, eco-art, engagement with “spontaneous nature events," contact with nature/living beings as an emotional resource, and gentle to moderate physical movement. As a woman who is honored to support other women through life's challenges and transitions, including pregnancy and postpartum, I weave Feminist Therapy into my work with clients. Feminist therapy advocates for empowerment, advocating for personal and social change, valuing diversity, and examining deeply held cultural and familial beliefs about womanhood and motherhood.

I also specialize in working with those who are Highly Sensitive Persons (HSP), who may struggle with feeling physically and emotionally overwhelmed by the sights, sounds, sensations, and expectations of the world around them.
