About My Clients
I work with adults, adolescents, and couples/polycules through in-person and telehealth sessions in VA, MD, DC, NC, VT, FL, MA, RI, ME, and WV. I support LGBTQIA2S+ folx, those in poly/ENM/CNM and kink dynamics, parents, people grappling with DNA discoveries, and those facing anxiety or depression. If you’re a struggling perfectionist, feel hopeless, believe you're alone, or are scared to start therapy, let's connect and see if we're a good fit!
My Background and Approach
At Rising Sun Therapy & Wellness, we hold space for your whole self, your story, your strength, your complexity. Whether you’re working through trauma, exploring your identity, or seeking more connection, we’re here to walk beside you with care, honesty, and compassion. Honoring who you are. Supporting who you are becoming. Rising Sun was created for folks who don’t always feel fully seen in traditional therapy. LGBTQIA2S+ clients, trauma survivors, and people in nontraditional relationships. We offer affirming, trauma-informed care across ten states, through both in-person therapy in Arlington and secure virtual sessions. Every session is guided by deep listening, thoughtful clinical care, and trust in your ability to heal and thrive. Therapy that honors your truth, your healing, & your wholeness. We create space for people of all identities to feel valued, supported, and empowered, because healing starts when you feel fully seen.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the healthiest people are in, or have been in, therapy. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Therapy offers a powerful space to reconnect with your inner wisdom, especially in a world that often encourages disconnection. I am active in fights for social justice and believe therapy can be an important tool in healing the wounds caused by systemic abuses and oppression. I don't see myself as an "all-knowing expert" — I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you listen more closely to your emotions and your body, so you can understand what you need and build a life that feels true to you. Therapy isn't about "fixing" you — it's about honoring your story, holding space for your growth, and walking alongside you as you uncover your strength.
