About My Clients

Being your authentic self in this world is hard. It requires us to be vulnerable. Being vulnerable can unlock spaces inside that maybe you have always, but only, imagined for yourself. Folks working with me are curious about knowing themselves and their parts. I am passionate about working with folks in the perinatal period or in the throes of parenting, people needing sex-positive therapy, unburdening from religious trauma, and anyone else interested in Internal Family Systems.

My Background and Approach

The therapeutic relationship is exploratory and my approach to the relationship is anchored in curiosity, warmth and safety, with a sprinkle of humor. I enjoy using Internal Family Systems but you can expect a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic interventions and theoretical models to help you guide your healing process, all through a fiercely strengths-based, whole-human-centered, trauma-informed lens. There is the healing that happens in therapy, together in the therapeutic alliance, confronting the patterns and cycles that are not serving you. Then, there is transformation that happens outside therapy, which is the unseen work you do on your own, when it is the hardest. As a therapist, my hope is we will celebrate and elevate the healing that happens both in and out of the room.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe there is enough space in this world for everyone to have some and I am here to help folks who feel forgotten and unseen take up the space they deserve. I specialize in perinatal issues of all birthing people. I believe postpartum for life and that experience never ends, only grows and changes over time. My goal in therapy is to provide a space for birthing people to feel held and safe to share the beautiful and uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that come with the vast transition into mother, father, parent. In making that transition, new mothers, fathers, and parents are often overlooked in their identity. It was in my own birthing and postpartum experience, experiencing feeling forgotten firsthand, that lead me back into the work of perinatal emotional health. I firmly believe systems of oppression impact our mental health so you can expect me to weave in an intersectional lens. My practice is also sex-positive, lovingly inclusive, and grounded in reproductive justice.
