About My Clients
It is my passion to work with clients who struggle with eating disorders, OCD, anxiety and trauma. I know what it is like to struggle with all of these and I also know that healing is possible. My clients are some of the most caring and intelligent people I know. I aim to help you reclaim your life and build a life of meaning. I have had great success in helping people recover from all these struggles and in you defining what recovery means to you. I will always meet you where you are at.
My Background and Approach
Are you sick and tired of struggling alone? Feel like there is no way out of your eating disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder? Maybe you are needing help working through trauma- either way I would love to help. I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs and believe our relationship is one of the most important components to your healing. I have years of professional experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, residential, schools and private practice. I am recovered myself, which helps my clients feel like they can relate. I utilize an integrated approach to healing including relational, Internal Family Systems, Feminist Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (for OCD). I view things both through an individual and systems lens- social justice is an integral part of my work as I believe systems of oppression shape our mental health in a myriad of ways.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I operate from anti-oppression lens. I stand in solidarity with LGBTQAII+, BIPOC and disabled individuals. My advocacy extends beyond the therapy room. I identify as mixed race, cisgender and pansexual. I acknowledge the privilege I have and aim to use my privileges to uplift marginalized groups.
