About My Clients
I specialize in working with those navigating grief & loss, neurodivergence (ASD/ADHD), complex trauma histories, & chronic illness in pursuit of reclaiming their lives from pain. My clients are often highly-sensitive & deeply impacted by both their inner and outer worlds. While they have high levels of self-awareness that lends itself to deep reflection, it also lends itself to self-criticism. Our work together offers the opportunity to move beyond hyperthinking, functional-freeze & anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I work most commonly with clients navigating grief, change, complex trauma, neurodivergence, and complex, chronic health issues. My approach uses a blend EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic, neuroscience-based approaches that go deeper than traditional talk therapy. The goal isn’t just to gain insight, but to transform how you move through life; with the ease of feeling grounded and at home within yourself. More than any method, success in therapy is rooted in trust and genuine connection with your therapist. In my work with clients, humor and creativity are a vital a part of the equation. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where your complexity and authenticity are welcomed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in our body and brain's innate ability to heal itself with the right support and resourcing. I also believe that our inner and outer worlds function as an ecosystem. When we tend to that system well, we thrive. When we tend to our communities well, they thrive. I help my clients build resources both within themselves and in their larger communities, so that they may feel safe and supported as they walk through life. I am passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community who are seeking groundedness and healing during this current, scary political climate.
