About My Clients
Struggling with anxiety, stress, or big transitions? Maybe you’re carrying the weight of trauma, grief, or cultural expectations. I offer a supportive space to process, grow, and find clarity so you can live with confidence and peace. I welcome anyone seeking growth and healing, but have special training in creating specialized care for children of immigrants/refugees. Let’s work together to break old patterns, manage stress, and create space for joy and resilience.
My Background and Approach
My approach and style as a therapist is warm, open, curious, and relational. Trained as a social worker with over 15 years of experience, I have worked as a therapist with youth and their families, as well as adults from all walks of life. I have experience working with teens and young adults as a social work professor, and have specialized training in working with BIPOC and Latinx individuals through my work in community mental health. My clients are often high achieving people of color who have navigated many obstacles, traumas, and oppressive systems and are exhausted. I take great care in how I work with each individual client, working collaboratively with you to identify your goals and together we build trust as you share and explore your story. Depending on your feedback and desired growth, I may use traditional talk therapy and/or somatic (body-based) interventions to help identify and challenge old patterns and behaviors.
