My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience helping children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in providing evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders, panic, OCD, depression, insomnia, hair pulling, skin picking, and tic disorders. My background includes work at several types of outpatient settings including private practice, integrated health care, academic medical center, and university counseling center. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is solution-focused and practical. You and/or your child won’t just come sit on a couch and talk about your feelings. We will work on building concrete skills to reduce your problems and improve your life. My therapeutic approach is direct and active, while also being supportive and warm.
