About My Clients
I support couples in their relationship problems, life transitions, belief journeys, and process of self-knowing. Whether you face intergenerational trauma, cross-cultural differences, or just struggle to handle big feelings in your partnership, I apply a culturally-sensitive and compassionate approach to give voice to your innermost experiences. Together, we’ll surface the emotional needs that might drive recurrent conflict patterns, with an emphasis on communication skills.
My Background and Approach
My approach is holistic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed, integrating multiple modalities to provide treatment contextualized for the client. I draw from Psychodynamic exploration of the past, Somatic clues and interventions within the body, Narrative prompts to get beyond the plot and into the meaning, and an appreciation of all your parts through Internal Family Systems (IFS).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every behavior has a function, and that everyone is doing the best that they can with what they've got. Our society is collectively feeling the impacts of global and systemic issues while being expected to carry on with demanding responsibilities. Often times, our inner judgment cuts off the discovery process of learning how our thoughts and behaviors are really attempts to meet our own needs. Relationships can be the perfect environment to practice interrupting cycles and re-writing the ending to the stories we experience over and over. I believe that many of us are living in survival mode, and have yet to meet ourselves over a long season of safety, play, and relationships which honor and capture our humanity.
