About My Clients
Life can become overwhelming resulting in feeling directionless or unmotivated. The ways you have enjoyed life and handled stress may have begun to lose their effect. You may be struggling to find the confidence to assert your identity and live on your terms due to the influence of others while the pressure to be productive negates self-care. I help my clients understand the factors that have led to these feelings and developing personal plans to reconnect to fulfillment and direction.
My Background and Approach
My background includes two degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, one a bachelor's degree in psychology and the other a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. Parallel to my formal education, I've worked in multiple settings including a outpatient medication-assisted treatment facility, a psychiatric hospital, agency clinical work, and a private group practice. My theoretical approach to therapy pulls from Jungian Depth, Narrative, and Existential theories. These modalities help me navigate understanding the rich depth of my clients, which informs who they are as well as what restricts them from achieving their therapeutic goals. This approach doesn’t focus on techniques or tools. But instead attending to who my clients are, tapping into their inner voice, and creating a non-judgemental space where we can imagine the possibilities expressed by that voice. Therapy is an opportunity to create a deeper understanding of what we do and why.
