About My Clients
I work with creatives, highly sensitive persons (HSPs), deconstructors, addicts, and gentle souls who desire to live fuller, more energized lives. As we build safety and familiarity, you will come to know and trust yourself more fully. Whatever feels like too much right now, we can face together. I will keep us focused and curious as we discover what matters to you right here, right now.
My Background and Approach
We will work experientially, which means our focus will be on what’s happening for you in real time rather than basing our conversation about past events or weekly updates. You’ll find this framework brings energy into the room and helps us learn more about what feels unresolved or too intense to be with alone. As your therapist, I am not a blank slate or a validation station; I am expressive, warm, patient and with you every step of the way. I received my Counseling MA from the University of Houston and since 2019 have worked in intensive outpatient, residential, community mental health, and now fully outpatient settings with individuals, groups, families and couples. I am a Level 2 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) therapist, and also draw from psychodynamic, existential, gestalt, somatic, and emotion-focused frameworks. When it fits, we can stretch outside traditional talk therapy to include music, movement, breath work, and mindfulness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe one of the best things we can do for ourselves and others is to examine a given template to see if it's truly helpful (i.e - organized faith, gender and sexual identity, economic and political norms, a family value or tradition). I also believe that if something feels bad or painful, we haven't reached the end of the journey.
