I believe that what may be "dysfunctional" for you now was at one time functional. The key is bringing kindness and curiosity to that "dysfunctional" pattern so you can begin to transform it. I believe that people best grow when they have secure relationships in their life. I also believe that within a secure relationship, people have the capacity to learn, unlearn, or relearn whatever is needed for the next step in their life. I believe in seeing people holistically, understanding that peoples' stories and challenges cannot be reduced to a set of symptoms but that help may come from many different areas. Most importantly, I believe that genuine healing is possible. I am an active participant in my church community, engaged in anti-human trafficking causes, and have participated in mentorship for at-risk youth in my community.
