Visible Mending is an art-as-therapy handwork session that invites you to slow down and explore the creative possibilities of repair. Join Ann Marie for a relaxed evening of learning basic sewing skills while caring for yourself, your clothing, and the earth.
This workshop welcomes anyone curious about stitching, creative expression, or making everyday life a little more intentional. No sewing or artistic experience is needed. Each class introduces a visible mending approach, with guidance and time to experiment. All materials are provided, and you will leave with a new ideas to bring to your own clothing.
The art-as-therapy emphasis is on the experience of making: noticing the texture of fabric, following the rhythm of a stitch, and discovering what happens when you give something your attention. There is room for experimentation, imperfection, and your own choices about color and pattern.
Together, we explore how small, deliberate actions can create change over time—and how repair can become an expression of care and individuality.
