Premarital Group

Open for Enrollment

This premarital therapy group is designed for engaged or seriously committed couples who want to be intentional about their relationship and prepare for marriage together. You do not need to be experiencing relationship problems to benefit from premarital therapy. This group is about strengthening what is already working while developing tools for navigating the challenges that naturally come with long-term partnership.

Through an attachment-based and relationship-focused approach, couples will explore their unique relationship patterns, deepen their understanding of one another, and practice skills they can continue using long after the group ends.

Topics may include:

  • Communication and conflict
  • Attachment styles and relationship patterns
  • Emotional needs and feeling connected
  • Navigating differences and expectations
  • Family-of-origin influences
  • Boundaries with family and friends
  • Finances, careers, and shared responsibilities
  • Intimacy and affection
  • Values and expectations for marriage
  • Creating a shared vision for your future
  • Premarital Questions to explore

Sessions will include education, guided conversations, practical relationship exercises, and opportunities for couples to work privately with their partner. You will not be expected to share personal details about your relationship with the entire group.

The goal is to help you enter marriage feeling more connected, prepared, and confident in your ability to navigate life together.

This group is inclusive, non-religious, and welcoming of LGBTQIA+ couples.
