Introduction to Drama Therapy

This drop in group will provide participants a playful introduction to the modality of drama therapy for those curious about what this practice is. Group participants can expect embodied, relational and creative work centered on what is present for the participants. Group facilitation will include several drama therapy approaches, including Developmental Transformations, the Integrative Five Phase Model, Narradrama, Psychodrama, and Role Theory.

Your faciliator, Kimberly Koljat, MA, IMFT-S, RPT-S, RDT received her Masters in Counseling Psychology Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she learned these practices from the creators and leaders in the field. In addition, she is a graduate of the Institute West for Developmental Transformations, is an adjunct faculty member at CIIS in the Drama Therapy program, and directs self-revelatory performance for graduating students’ capstone projects.
